NC Lawmakers Join the Fight to Raise the Minimum Wage

North Carolina lawmakers joined the Raising Wages NC coalition at a legislative press conference March 19th to announce the introduction of bills in the state house and state senate that would gradually raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, eliminate subminimum wages for people with disabilities and tip workers, and cover domestic and farm workers for the first time ever.

The North Carolina Alliance for Retired Americans Education Fund (NCARA) will hold its 8th Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for its many programs to help seniors here in North Carolina. The tournament will be held on Monday, May 20, at Holly Ridge Golf Links in Archdale beginning with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
