Endorsements for November 4, 2025 Local Elections

Local elections are underway in North Carolina, and it’s never been so important to elect working people and union members to City Council and Commissioner positions. These endorsed candidates have made commitments to good jobs, worker safety, and affordable towns, and some of them are union members themselves! Vote early until 3pm November 1st or on Election Day November 4th.

My name is Jameelah Lashley, and I am a member of APWU Local 1078 in Raleigh, NC. I’ve worked for the United States Postal Service for 17 years. As an expeditor, I coordinate between USPS employees and drivers to help deliver America’s mail, and I love what I do! I love serving my community and appreciate all of the opportunities my union gives me to better serve our members.

I’m president of AFGE Local 446, which represents workers at four agencies, and love what I do! I am passionate about workers being treated with respect and dignity, and I get to be a voice for those who are too shy to speak out.
