Ryan Byrley

Ryan Byrley is the Campaign Manager & Field Director for the North Carolina State AFL-CIO. He is a member of the Washington-Baltimore News Guild, TNG-CWA Local 32035.

Ryan's journey began with honorable service in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2008, where he worked as an aviation mechanic, instilling in him a strong sense of duty and service to his fellow service members. Following his military service, Ryan transitioned into the realm of progressive politics, lending his expertise to organizations such as the Progressive Turnout Project and NextGen, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating campaign races and managing staff.

Most recently, Ryan comes to us from the NC Voter Project, where he served as the Executive Director, spearheading efforts to promote voter engagement and defend voting rights in North Carolina. Ryan's unwavering dedication to expanding access to the ballot box and empowering marginalized communities underscores his commitment to democratic principles.
