Safe jobs are every workers' right!

Join us at 10 AM Friday, April 27th in Raleigh for a press conference and solemn memorial service during which participants will toll a bell 174 times - once for each person in North Carolina who died while working for a better life in 2016 - and will call for the state Department of Labor to do more to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities.

What: Solemn memorial service and press conference

When: Friday, April 27, 2018, at 10:00 AM

Where: North Carolina State Capitol (south pad/Morgan St.), 1 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

Why: Safe jobs are the right of every worker, and the 174 people who died on the job in 2016 - the most recent year for which the total count of workplace fatalities is known - is evidence that the NC Dept. of Labor must do more to protect working people

Attire: Please wear black to honor the dead
