VIDEO: Union Nurses Describe Pain of Denying Care
"Patients aren't the only ones crying out for health care reform"
The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is taking to the airwaves with a new television ad about health care reform.
Titled "Nurses", the spot features several members of AFSCME describing the pain they feel from having to deny care to people who don't have coverage. Watch:
"If you've ever had to see a sick child turned away because they have no health care coverage,
"If you ever had to see a mother's face when she's told, "No. We can't help you,"
"If you ever had to see someone fighting for her life fight her insurance company for treatment,
"Then you'd see to it that Congress creates real health care reform, now.
"AFSCME members urge Congress to support President Obama and pass HR 3200. Now."
