Several community groups in the Triad are teaming up to bring to Greensboro a candidates forum before the May 6th primary election. The forum will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Sears Building on the Jamestown campus of Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC).
What: Pre-primary candidates forum
When: Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM
Where: Guilford Technical Community College (Sears Building), 601 High Point Rd, Jamestown, NC 27282
North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE), League of Women Voters of the Piedmont Triad, Greensboro NAACP, NC State AFL-CIO, NC League of Conservation Voters, Guilford Stays Organized, and Beloved Community Center are sponsoring this candidates forum.
Invited candidates include those standing for election or re-election to State House Districts 57, 58, and 60; State Senate District 28; and State Supreme Court seat now held by Robin Hudson (who will not be participating in the question and answer part of the forum).
The format of the forum will be as follows: candidates for each race will sit on the dais with only their opponent(s) and give a one-minute opening statement and one-minute responses to questions posed by a moderator.
Questions will come from the sponsoring organizations and from members of the audience.
