Fast food workers across the country have been standing up to the plate in the battle to reverse the decline of the middle class by going out on strike to protest their poverty-level pay.
In an economic recovery where most of the new jobs are part-time and pay low wages, fast food workers' demand for $15 an hour and the right to a union is something we can all support.

On Monday, January 20 - Martin Luther King Day - in honor of Dr. King, who struggled and died to win dignity and respect for low-wage workers, NC Raise Up will host a fast food worker "speak out" with the Southern Workers Assembly.
