In Charlotte
The annual Charlotte Labor Day Parade will be held Monday, September 5th at 11 am. Click here to RSVP for the 2011 Charlotte Labor Day Parade!
Organized by the Charlotte Labor Day Parade Committee in conjunction with the Southern Piedmont Central Labor Council, the parade honors the accomplishments of organized labor in our country, our region, and in our community. The parade through uptown Charlotte features local labor union floats, vehicles, and marchers. The parade also features political candidates, stepping groups, bands, car clubs, beauty queens, and community groups. Come on out for “an old fashioned parade – union made”.
When: Monday September 5th at 11 am. Pre-parade assembly begins at 9 am at 701 North College Street
Where: Parade begins at the Hal Marshal Center, proceeding down Tryon Street, through the Square, and ending at Tryon and 3rd Streets.

In Canton
The Town of Canton, NC and Haywood County have been holding Labor Day celebrations for 105 years! Actually, it's a multi-day extravaganza of free music, food, crafts, and of course, a parade!
