One-Stop voting until June 19

It's a runoff! No Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate received 40% of the vote in the May 4 primary election, so the top two vote-getters - Secretary of State, Elaine Marshall and former state senator, Cal Cunningham - will face off in a runoff Tuesday, June 22, 2010. You don't have to wait until June 22 to cast your ballot. One-stop early voting and same-day registration is available from now until Saturday, June 19. Click here for a list of one-stop early voting locations. Turnout in the May 4 election was only 14.4% of registered voters. Even fewer people are expected to participate in this runoff election. By comparison, turnout in November 2008 was almost 70%.  With so many people sitting out the election, your decision to vote in this primary runoff will make a big difference in the outcome. Whichever candidate you support, Marshall or Cunningham, please vote in the runoff primary election.
