Chances are you're still the Other 99%

You might be surprised how much household income you can have an still not be in the top 1%.

Even if you and your family are very well off, you have more in common with 99% of American income earners than the top 1% who control 40% of the nation's wealth, its economic and financial system, and its government.

Check out this nifty tool from the Wall Street Journal that lets you find out, given your household income, at what percentile you rank among American taxpayers:

"The calculator shows where your income stands on the wide range of the 99%. An annual salary above $506,000 puts you in the top 1%, while you need to make less than $2,500 a year to be in the bottom 1%. Where do you stand?"
