Time for Gov. McCrory to concede that his damaging and divisive governorship is at its end so working people can prepare for the challenges that lie ahead – defending our victory in the state supreme court race and breaking the Republican supermajority in special legislative elections next year.
On the heels of last night’s debate and with the start of Early Voting, the NC State AFL-CIO released the following statement from Secretary-Treasurer MaryBe McMillan again calling on Governor Pat McCrory and Senator Richard Burr to withdraw support for Donald Trump.
Actions speak louder than words, and Sen. Burr and Gov. McCrory need to do more than simply issue a statement. Both Sen. Burr and Gov. McCrory should join the growing number of Republican leaders who are now publicly refusing to vote for Donald Trump.
The ruling strikes down significant provisions of North Carolina’s “Voter ID” law as discriminatory and unconstitutional.
