We are deeply disappointed that, despite bipartisan support in the state senate, Republicans in the state house refused to accept even small changes in our Unemployment Insurance system that would help the record number of North Carolinians who are out of work during this pandemic.

Weekly nonviolent protests of the flood of right-wing legislation coming out of our out-of-control state legislature resumes this coming Monday, June 3rd for what organizers hope will be the biggest “Moral Monday”, yet.

Each Monday evening, the North Carolina Chapter of the NAACP and other progressive groups are staging actions at the North Carolina General Assembly to protest attacks on workers’ rights and other regressive legislation.
