In 2021, we saw record numbers of working people stand up and take collective action. Read about what we did together in North Carolina in 2021, a year that made it clear there is power in a union.
Thank you for all you did during a difficult year. In a time of unprecedented challenge, our unions stepped up to serve our citizens and to protect our members. Amid it all, we mobilized for a critical election, and we celebrated the largest union organizing victory in the South in over a decade.
In 2019, we continued to advance our goal of winning better policies for working people. Together we win, so we hope you will say “Count Me In!” to mobilize your members, elect union-endorsed candidates, and work to build a bigger, more engaged, more powerful labor movement.
In 2017, we celebrated 60 years of the NC State AFL-CIO. It was a pivotal moment to reflect on lessons of the past and plan for the future. For all the highlights from our 60th Annual Convention, Labor 2017, our support for affiliates, and how North Carolina’s labor federation continued raising the bar, read our 2017 Annual Report.
The North Carolina State AFL-CIO is the largest association of local unions and union councils in North Carolina, representing over one-hundred and forty-thousand union members, fighting for good jobs, safe workplaces, workers’ rights, consumer protections, and quality public services on behalf of ALL working people.
