Remember the Dead on Workers Memorial Day 2017 (4/28)

Safe jobs are the right of every worker!
Join us at 10 AM Friday, April 28th in Raleigh for a press conference and solemn memorial service during which participants will toll a bell 150 times – once for each person in North Carolina who died while working for a better life in 2015 – and will call for the state Department of Labor to do more to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities.
Safe jobs are the right of every worker, and the 150 people who died on the job in 2015 – the most recent year for which the total count of workplace fatalities is known – is evidence that the NC Dept. of Labor must do more to protect working people
What: Solemn memorial service and press conference
When: Friday, April 28, 2017, at 10:00 AM
Where: North Carolina State Capitol (south pad/Morgan St.), 1 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

You people are disgusting. Memorial day is for the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and families and you have the unmitigated gall to use that weekend for this? I am going to do everything i can to get this out on social media so people can see what this is all about.
Um, Workers’ Memorial Day is (and has always been) April 28th. I think you’re referring to Memorial Day, which is always the last Monday in May – this year, on May 29th, to be exact – more than a month later. Hope that helps you cool your jets!
