September 27 has been designated by postal employees as a Day of Action to Save America’s Postal Service.  We are rallying in every congressional district in the country with two aims:

  1. Inform the public about the actual financial situation at the U.S. Postal Service and what’s at stake for residents and businesses throughout her district; and
  2. Explain how the problems can be resolved, including by supporting House Bill 1351.

Click here to sign the petition to your member of Congress urging him or her to co-sponsor HR 1351 and Save America's Postal Service.

The Postal Service affects every resident and business in your community, and so what happens to it is of great local as well as national importance. We must not let America's postal service be taken from us.

Check out this important information sheet about what's really going on at the postal service (PDF).  You’ll note how different the actual situation facing the U.S. Postal Service is from what’s been portrayed to the public.

The NC State AFL-CIO is proud to stand in solidarity with our tens of thousands of brothers and sisters who are postal employees - as well as with their families and communities who depend on them. Please stand with them, also, on September 27th.
