Stronger working together

When trying to build power for working people in North Carolina, the least unionized state in the union, advocates for workers have to work together. To paraphrase Mother Jones, our masters are organized and so must we be.

The Triangle Labor Group is an informal group of activists from unions, community groups, and academia working together.  Its next meeting on Tuesday, January 31 at AFL-CIO headquarters in Raleigh is a chance to review ways to build and enhance cooperation between unions and between union and non-union social justice organizations. The meeting will include a light buffet lunch (for a $5 suggested donation), three-minute presentations on ongoing structures for cooperation, facilitated discussion of what helps us cooperate effectively, if appropriate, a start to enhancing cooperation.

What: Meeting of the Triangle Labor Group
When: Tuesday, January 31 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Where: House of Labor, 1408 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27605
