We hope you will say “Count me in!” to join us via Zoom

Our 63rd Annual Convention will be held online via Zoom, Thursday and Friday, September 24-25, 2020; 2-5pm on 9/24 (registration 12-2pm) and 10am-1pm on 9/25 (registration 8-10am).

We will miss seeing you in person, but during this pandemic, safety comes first, which is why our Executive Board voted to move the convention online.

We have lined up exciting speakers including Sara Steffens, Secretary-Treasurer of the Communication Workers (CWA), Fred Redmond, International Vice President of the Steelworkers (USW), North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, and endorsed candidates like Cal Cunningham for US Senate and Jessica Holmes for Labor Commissioner. Union member and candidate for NC House District 118 in Western NC, Alan Jones (USW), will also be speaking.

We hope you will say “Count me in!” to join us on Thursday and Friday, September 24-25, 2020!

How to register

The AFL-CIO waived our requirement to send paper credentials this year. Instead, we have mailed delegate pre-registration packets to all affiliates. If your local union or council has yet to receive a pre-registration packet, please email [email protected] or call 336-255-2711.

The 3-Step Registration Process:

  1. Submit your pre-registration list by mail or online
  2. Pay delegate fees by check or online
  3. Register each delegate on Zoom using a link that will be provided after steps 1 & 2 are completed

Once Step 1 and Step 2 have been completed, we will provide the link to complete Step 3 of the delegate registration process via Zoom.

Steps 1 and 2 can be completed online at bit.ly/ncafl63rdtix.

Participants will NOT be able to join the Zoom convention meeting until Step 3 is completed.

IMPORTANT: For cybersecurity reasons, each participant will have to register via Zoom using a unique email address. Each participant will have to connect using the Zoom app installed on a smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer. Download and install the latest version of Zoom at zoom.us/download
