Pursuant to the authority vested by the Constitution of the NC State AFL-CIO, the Executive Board hereby notifies you that our 60th Annual Convention will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Oceanfront Hotel in Atlantic Beach (2717 W Fort Macon Rd) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, September 13-15, 2017. Registration will begin at 7:00pm on Tues. (9/12) and continue at 8:00am on Wed. (9/13). The Convention will convene at 9:00am on Wed., (9/13).

This year is an election year for our state federation, so your FULL participation is more important than ever! The president and our entire executive board will stand for election to new 4-year terms. Read the call letter (PDF) for important info about delegates, the convention process, and the “caucus system” for nominating vice presidents.
Hotel rooms cost $129 (oceanview) or $169 (oceanfront) per night plus tax. The cutoff date for placing reservations is August 18, 2017. Affiliates can expect to receive delegate credential forms by July 1. If you have yet to receive your credential packet, please check with the person or office that receives our monthly statements or call Jeremy at 919-833-6678.
The registration fees are: $100 for each Delegate; $60 for each Guest/Alternate; $40 for retired guests. Registration fees must accompany each credential when mailed to the NC State AFL-CIO, along with a list of any retirees and guests also to attend. Pre-register by Friday, August 18 and take 10% off. This discount will NOT be available to delegates who register on-site.
