Advanced Labor School is for graduates of Carolina Labor School and local union leaders who want a deeper understanding of labor law, workers’ compensation, collective bargaining, FMLA, grievances and arbitration, and duty-of-fair-representation.
Organized by our state federation’s General Counsel, Trisha Pande, Advanced Labor School will bring a small group of union members from affiliates across North Carolina together with experts in the fields of labor, employment, and election law for three days of intensive training and discussion.
Registration is open to Carolina Labor School alumni and local union leaders only. Space will be limited to 40 students – no more than 2 students from any one local – with a waiting list when full.
Tuition will be $275 per student and includes lunch Tuesday and Wednesday and all materials.

On-site registration will begin at 8:00am on Tuesday, April 4th. Class will begin at 9:00am on the 4th and end at 5pm on the 4th and 5th and at noon on the 6th.
Hotel rooms cost $149 per night (plus tax) at the nearby Hampton Inn & Suites (8021 Arco Corporate Drive) in Raleigh. Due to the early start time on the 4th, we recommend booking your stay beginning Monday night (April 3rd).
