Workers Rights Hearings April 4th will Coincide with 49th Anniversary of Dr. King's Assassination

Forty-nine years after an assassin killed Dr. King while he was standing with sanitation workers striking for a better life in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4th, working people across the nation will come together to revive his vision of economic and racial justice.

Take action for a $15 minimum wage in North Carolina.

Both the labor and civil rights movements have common cause in fighting the disastrous toll that 400 years of slavery and segregation, combined with 40 years of anti-union policies, has had on working people in this country.

Before he died, Dr. King was working on a massive Poor People’s Campaign to lift wages and make sure that every American could enjoy the fruits of their labor. On April 4th, join us and the Fight for 15 to revive the spirit of the Poor People’s Campaign!
