Come out and learn about Social Justice from some of the people who have lived it and still strive to change things, share their struggles, and empower us to make a difference.

What: Triad North Carolina Jobs with Justice "Labor School"

When: Five Sundays (September 10 - September 17 - September 24 - October 1 - October 8) from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Where: CWA Local 3607 Union Hall, 129 Industrial Ave, Greensboro, NC 27406

Guest speakers include:

  • Week #1: Ajamu Dillahunt, former Raleigh APWU local President and NC APWU Education Director on "Climate Justice and the Fight for Jobs."
  • Week #2: Reverend Corine Mack, current Charlotte NAACP President, and a former top leader of the New York City Transit Union on "The Need for Unity of the Labor Movement and the Civil Rights Movement."
  • Week #3: Justin Flores, Vice President, Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) on "Justice for Farm Workers."
  • Week #4: John Crawford, current President, Triad Central Labor Council AFL-CIO and former President, UAW Local 5287 at Thomas Built Bus Company, on "The Need for All Workers' Solidarity with Mississippi Auto Workers."
  • Week #5: Richard Koritz, current Board member, International Civil Rights Center and Museum and NC Letter Carriers Union Executive Board member, on "Current Problems in the Labor Movement and How Social Justice Unionism Leads to Workers' Victories."
