People working together in their union, the National Association of Letter Carriers will help “Stamp Out Hunger” across the nation in the 25th year of the largest one-day food drive in America, Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Just leave a sturdy bag containing nonperishable foods – such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, rice or cereal – next to your mailbox before the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 9, and the nation’s 175,000 letter carriers will collect and deliver it to local food banks.
American Federation of Government Employees Local 1770 handed out 20,000 pounds of food to 460 families in Spring Lake.
On Saturday, May 11, 2013, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will team up to support Feeding America and help Stamp Out Hunger across America. Now in its 21st year, the annual food drive helps provide help to the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.
