The North Carolina chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute will host its 36th Annual Awards Banquet on April 17, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn I-95 in Fayetteville, NC.

This event is their opportunity to spotlight outstanding contributions from community activists, elected officials, and labor leaders who, like Mr. Randolph, have made strides toward sustaining freedom, social justice, and workers' rights.

Proceeds from ticket sales and ads in their Souvenir Journal will support N.C. A.P.R.I.'s voter registration, voter education, GOTV strategies, and community service programs. The Raleigh A.P.R.I. chapter also runs an emergency food bank. The organization, which is a not-for-profit 501c3 is run entirely by volunteers.
