It’s like Moral Monday but at the movies

Come out to the FREE screening of American Winter in a city near you on Thursday, May 29 at 7 pm!

American Winter follows eight families struggling in the wake of America's Great Recession and reveals the devastating human impact of rising economic inequality, a shrinking social safety net, and the fracturing of the American Dream.

American Winter is the second film in the Moral Movies series launching this month in cities across NC. Moral Movies is co-presented with the North Carolina NAACP and in collaboration with us, Democracy NC, NC Justice Center, the Tarheel Alliance of Classroom Teachers, and others.

Stick around after the screening to hear from local AFL-CIO representatives about concrete and simple action you can take to raise wages for American workers and to help stop the slide of middle class families into poverty.
