Join the NC State AFL-CIO

Our organization is a federation of local unions and councils rather than individual union members. However, individuals - union and non-union alike - can join the NC State AFL-CIO by way of the North Carolina Working Families e-Activist network.

For local unions and councils, affiliation with the State Federation brings a host of benefits. Download our brochure to find out if your local union can afford not to be a member of the NC State AFL-CIO.

Two Ways to be a Member:

Join as an Individual
  • Become a member of the North Carolina Working Families e-Activist network
  • Receive via e-mail the latest updates on issues important to workers
  • Engage lawmakers and the press in our online advocacy campaigns
  • Get announcements about upcoming events sent directly to your inbox

Sign up with the North Carolina State AFL-CIO

Join as a Union or Council
  • Become an affiliate of our State Federation
  • Enjoy improved access to key decision makers
  • Participate in our unified political and legislative programs
  • Attend our meetings, including Convention, Labor School, and Legislative Conference
  • Receive solidarity support from other affiliates during tough organizing campaigns and strikes

Contact us for more info and an application.
