4th district Congressman, David Price, speaking at the Triangle Labor Council's 2009 Legislative Breakfast.

Lawmakers need to hear from workers

Given the results of many mid-term elections, we will be challenged on many fronts by the shift to a Republican controlled General Assembly. The 2011 legislative session will require us to be unified in fighting off numerous expected challenges from the business lobby to workers' compensation and other issues important to working families.

We hope you and your members will take advantage of this opportunity to meet with your elected legislative representatives and to discuss with them issues important to you and your family. Your participation will also help send the message that we intend to stand together to fight and protect our legislative gains.

North Carolina State Representatives, State Senators, and Members of Congress will be in attendance at these meetings.

Participation is open to all union members, families, and friends. See below for details about the meetings and call Adam Orlovich at 919-833-6678 to RSVP.
