Strikes for $15 and a union gain steam

Fast food workers across the world are going on strike May 15 with actions in 150 cities in 30 countries, reports Josh Eidleson at Salon.com:

Organizers expect the walkouts to spread for the first time to cities including Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando, and Sacramento, and to involve thousands of total workers, including hundreds each in cities including St. Louis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Leticia Abreo, who works at McDonald's in Mt. Olive, North Carolina said she will go on strike to support her work family:
