Postal Workers, Business Owners, and Community Members to Hold Lunchtime Rally and Informational Picket, 11:30 AM this Wednesday in Uptown Charlotte

Gearing Up to Fight Back Against Service Cuts

People who work in union at the United States Postal Service and the business owners and community members who depend upon it will hold a lunchtime press conference, rally, and picket outside the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Building this Wednesday to inform the public how they can help fight back against reductions in service and jobs. Recent USPS cuts such as fewer window personnel, decreased post office hours, and delays in the delivery of first class mail undermine our community’s freedom to live, work, or be in business for a better life.

Who: Charlotte area postal workers and mail carriers, labor leaders, business owners, and community members

What: Lunchtime press conference/rally and informational picket

When: Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Where: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Building Plaza (600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202)
