Join us to say, "Happy Birthday, F.M.L.A.!"

The Family Medical Leave Act, the first and only legislation written specifically to help workers meet both family and work obligations, turns 20 this year! In the last 20 years, it’s been used more than a 100 million times by working men and women who needed time away from work to take care of a family health crisis or welcome a new baby.

Join us for a kid-friendly party with speakers, crafts, and birthday cake as we celebrate how far we've come and build momentum to close the gaps that remain so we can all be good family members and good employees!

What: 20th birthday party for F.M.L.A. and tribute to NC's work-family champions
When: Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 10:00 AM to noon
Where: Marbles Children's Museum, 201 E Hargett St, Raleigh, NC 27601
Who: Hosted by NC Families Care, NC MomsRising, and the NC Justice Center

Space is limited, so register now.

The celebration will include a brief press event at 10 o'clock followed by birthday cake, children’s crafts, exhibits, and activities! Honored guests will include North Carolina's champions of work-family policies, state Representatives Alma Adams and Larry Hall and state Senators Angela Bryant and Ellie Kinnaird (retired).

First 25 registrations receive a free entrance ticket to the Museum!
