AFGE Members to Picket Sen. Tillis Over Shutdown Pay Vote

Last week, Senator Thom Tillis voted against a bill to guarantee back pay to government workers who worked through the shutdown. This Tuesday, January 30, we're rallying at his office to show him our disappointment.

It's important that our lawmakers stand up and fight for working people like us - and it's important for us to hold them accountable when they don't.

Who: AFGE members, union family, concerned community groups

What: A picket at Senator Tillis's office, to show our disappointment in his opposition to guaranteeing back pay to federal workers affected by the shutdown

When: Tuesday, January 30 at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Senator Tillis's Office, 310 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601

Parking: Don't park in the post office parking lot across the street

Federal employees: Make sure you are on your recorded lunch break or are off duty before attending
